Simulation Technical Specialist West Des Moines
The Simulation Technical Specialist will coordinate with staff of the Simulation Center to design, prepare, train, operate, support, and assess all technical aspects of educational programs being conducted in the Simulation Center. Additionally, this position will function as the technical leader for new and current inventory of technical simulation equipment essential to the efficient operation of the Simulation Center.

Staff Counselor (.8 FTE) West Des Moines
The mission of the Student Counseling Center (SCC) is to provide a range of psychological services that serve to empower, support, and assist students in the pursuit of their personal, professional, and academic endeavors. In pursuing the mission of the organization, the SCC makes policies, decisions, and strategic plans in alignment with the following values: integrity and ethical practice, social justice and multicultural competence, holistic approach, and collaborative partnerships. The Staff Counselor will be responsible for providing psychological services to students in all University programs, including intake assessments, individual and couples counseling, crisis intervention, and providing supportive documentation for students seeking academic accommodations. In addition, the Staff Counselor will provide consultation and outreach programming to the campus community. The SCC provides clinical services in-person, via phone, and through a secure video platform. Due to the need for an in-office presence during business hours in the event of in-person client emergencies, this position is ineligible for regular telework. Occasional telework may be approved in rare circumstances (e.g., inclement weather).
Department Chair Associate Professor Physical Therapy West Des Moines
Reporting to the College Dean, the Department Chair (aka: Program Director) is responsible for executing functions related to the administrative, educational, research, clinical, and accreditation functions of the Department; managing all faculty, including full-time, part-time, adjunct, emeritus, volunteer, and guest faculty; providing leadership for the department in supporting curriculum instruction and scholarly activity, including research, publications, and funding. The Chair also manages non-faculty positions assigned to the Department. The Chair is responsible for obtaining and maintaining the accreditation of programs sponsored by the department, and for supporting accreditation and evaluation processes within the College and the University. The Chair assigns the departmental faculty’s FTE distribution in the areas of teaching, research, service, administrative roles, and clinical service, as applicable. The Chair is responsible for managing the distribution of the faculty FTE within the Department to meet the educational needs of the Department, College, and University, in curriculum delivery. The Chair manages the allocation of faculty time and departmental budget in the best manner to ensure the educational and financial strength of the Department and is responsible for ensuring faculty have Promotion and Tenure plans and regular feedback, whether tenure track or non-tenure track, as well as opportunities for faculty development. The Chair represents the department within the College and University organizational structure.

Grants Specialist and Partnership Manager West Des Moines
Under the general direction of the Executive Director of Research, the incumbent manages the full lifecycle of grants, and sponsored program administration including identification of funding sources, grant and contract proposal assistance, grant writing assistance, development and review, proposal submission, grant and contract negotiation, sub-award issuance, and post-award administration (both financial and non-financial) related to funding provided in the form of gifts, grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts from external funding sources (e.g., federal agencies, state agencies, private companies, or foundations) that provide support for research, teaching, and learning, and service mission of the university. Keeping faculty and appropriate staff apprised of the status of grants, current contract or grant policies, regulations, and guidelines made by granting agencies and campus offices; acting as the liaison between principal investigators (PIs) and granting agencies, University offices, etc.; and meeting with faculty and staff to identify research interests and to develop funding strategies and plans. In collaboration with research leadership, supports identified goals for future organizational performance implements assigned tasks, and uses resources needed to attain them, ensuring compliance with university and sponsor guidelines. The position supports the Executive Director of Research in the management of grant programs and partnerships. The responsibilities of the Grants Specialist and Partnership manager may change based on revisions to the research vision and research direction of the University.
Physical Therapist Assistant West Des Moines
Perform physical therapy treatments and services as established by a licensed physical therapist according to the Iowa Physical Therapy Practice Act. Provide education to patients/families, DMU and the community on the profession of physical therapy.
Administrative Assistant West Des Moines
The Administrative Assistant performs a variety of duties to support the functions of the department including: greeting and directing office, email, and telephone traffic, scheduling of appointments, providing administrative support to the Center’s contracted medication provider, maintaining the department’s electronic medical records system (Titanium) and paper files, and assisting in the development, planning, and delivery of outreach programming (e.g., room scheduling, placing catering orders, preparing materials, staffing events). This position involves the management of sensitive client information and requires strong knowledge of professional ethics and state laws regarding confidentiality of protected health information. Chief Human Resources Officer West Des Moines

Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Specialty Medicine, the physician is responsible for provision of educational lectures, laboratories, and other educational modalities, consistent with the Anesthesiology scope of practice, within the University to support the educational priorities of the Specialty Medicine Department and Des Moines University. In addition to the duties assigned by the University, this physician is expected to maintain a clinical practice outside of the University Clinic System. This is a part-time (0.3 FTE) academic Anesthesiology position with the focus entirely on the education of students. There are no assigned clinical responsibilities with this position.
Faculty Physician Assistant West Des Moines

The position would average anywhere between 12 and 24 hours per week (up to .6 FTE) depending on the availability and preference of the candidate(s). Position reports to the Chair of the Department of Osteopathic Clinical Medicine. This physician is responsible, along with the Osteopathic Clinical Medicine faculty, for provision of educational lectures, laboratories and other educational modalities to support the educational priorities of the department and University.
