Research Assistant Des Moines
The Des Moines University (DMU) Department of Public Health (DPH) is searching for a highly motivated individual to serve as a Research Assistant for UpLift - The Central Iowa Basic Income Pilot (UpLift). DMU has partnered with the Harkin Institute for Public Policy and Citizen Engagement (Harkin Institute) at Drake University and the Center for Guaranteed Income Research (CGIR) at the University of Pennsylvania (Penn). DMU will conduct an evaluation of UpLift. This project will build on the existing body of cash-transfer literature to build an evidence-rich pilot-to-policy pipeline. The Research Assistant will be the primary person interfacing with individuals enrolled in the control group arm of the study, establishing trust, facilitating data collection, ensuring participant retention, and executing operational priorities. Research Assistants running the pilots will also be provided a research affiliation with Penn through CGIR, providing them access to Penn’s resources, standardized indirect costs, and streamlined research support under the CGIR directors.
Benefits Administrator Des Moines
The Benefits Administrator is responsible for planning and administering the day-to-day operations of group benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, unemployment, and retirement plans. This position provides outstanding customer service and partners with multiple vendors to design and deliver quality benefits plans. The administrator evaluates benefits programs, improves existing program processes, and provides educational opportunities for employees. This position reports to the CHRO and will be responsible for special projects.

Administrative Assistant Des Moines
The COM Clinical Affairs Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs and the COM Clinical Affairs team. This position requires the ability to multi-task, problem-solve, work with multiple constituents, and work in a team-based environment. Multicultural Affairs Coordinator Des Moines

Faculty Physical Therapy Des Moines
Provide direct patient care to individuals with physical impairments and/or functional limitations in outpatient clinic setting. The physical therapist provides an evaluation and screening of all systems, coordinates a physical therapy program and provides treatment intervention within the DMU Physical Therapy clinic or the DMU Physical Therapy Clinic and Sports Performance Center. Serve as a clinical instructor/preceptor for DMU clinical programs and job shadowing experiences. Provide education to patients/families, DMU and the community on the profession of physical therapy. Research Librarian Des Moines
Working with library colleagues and other campus partners, provides a broad range of research, scholarly support and instructional services to faculty, staff, and students in support of education, research, and patient care at Des Moines University. Supports student and faculty researchers in the scholarly communication process. Faculty Bio-ethics Behavioral Medicine (.5 FTE) Des Moines
Position is in the Department of Behavioral Medicine, Medical Humanities, and Bioethics. This position will be responsible for overseeing the bioethics curriculum for the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) program as well as participating in the professional identity development curriculum delivery for the students The position is responsible for participating in college or university courses for students, conducting research or other scholarly/creative endeavors, and participating in academic governance/service responsibilities as assigned by the Chair of Behavioral Medicine, Medical Humanities and Bioethics.
Athletic Trainer Des Moines
Athletic Trainers are healthcare providers who specialize in providing primary care, injury and illness prevention, wellness promotion and education, emergent care, examination and clinical diagnosis, along with rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. Athletic Trainers will provide onsite coverage at the MidAmerican Rec Plex or at other affiliate locations as needed for a wide variety of sports. Athletic Trainers will assist with leading, supervising, and instructing performance classes, clinics, and camps. In addition, athletic trainers will provide education to athletes, families, coaches, DMU students, and the community on injury prevention, sports rehabilitations, and performance enhancement.

Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Behavioral Medicine, Medical Humanities & Bioethics, this physician is responsible for developing and maintaining a clinical practice within the Des Moines University Clinic. Position will include physician assistant supervision, supporting the educational priorities of the department and University, and participating in the academic mission of the department.

Standardized Patient Des Moines
In a clinical-like setting (in-person or online), portrays cases similar to what learners would encounter in actual clinical settings. Simulated patients are expected to consistently and accurately portray trained cases including typical emotions, behaviors and symptoms. Responsible for memorizing a script and recalling actions performed by learners to document performance and skill level of each learner consistently and accurately. Case portrayals may include communication, physical examination or both. Simulated patients may also provide feedback and/or assess learners using specific measurement tools. Participation in group or individual training is expected in order to prepare for case portrayal. Work hours are variable and on an on-call basis.
Simulation Specialist - RN, EMT, Paramedic Des Moines
The Simulation Specialist will collaborate with the various courses to create rigorous, relevant, realistic and educationally sound simulation encounters. This includes high-fidelity, medium-fidelity, task training, and SP encounters dependent on program learning objectives. Additionally, the Simulation Specialist will provide pre-briefing and debriefings for sessions when appropriate.
