What you’ll do:
- Provide daily management and oversight for development and implementation of Human Simulation Program events.
- Oversight and management of Standardized Patient pool.
- Work with the appropriate faculty representative and the Human Simulation Educator to plan, design, write, create and prepare realistic human-based simulation scenarios using appropriate simulation methodology based on the goals and objectives of the program and course.
- Actively recruit and hire qualified candidates to continually build a diversified list of available actors for SP activities.
What we are looking for:
- Paramedic, Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in simulation, adult education, communication, theater or healthcare related field is required. Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience with human simulation scholarship and/or research strongly preferred, including presentations or publications.
- 3+ years of clinical experience strongly preferred.
- 3+ years of medical simulation/ human simulation/standardized patient educator experience preferred.
- Experience in course development and education methodology preferred.
- Current State of Iowa license, or be eligible to gain license to practice in the State of Iowa or appropriate certifications for Iowa and national organizations strongly preferred.
- Current CHSE, CHSOS, CHSE-A, or CHSOS-A certification strongly preferred
