As a Clinical Skills Simulation Specialist, you'll play a vital role in preparing tomorrow’s health leaders by supporting immersive, high-impact simulation experiences.
What you’ll do:
- Deliver high-fidelity simulation encounters as the voice of the patient, ensuring the encounter follows the approved and scripted format. This includes the operation of all aspects of the lab during high-fidelity simulation encounters.
- Ensure that safety precautions are followed throughout all course sessions
- Assist Clinical Skills Coordinator with management and coordination of the Surgical Skills teaching assistants.
- Coordinat Sim Lab calendar
- Maintain records of event management data in accordance with simulation accreditation standards
- Assists the Simulation Manager in the continued integration of medical simulation methodologies into DMU’s curriculum. Including educational training, skill development, and assessment
- Assess and initiate new uses of simulation methodology by participating in continuing education at the state, regional and national levels in the use of simulation
What we are looking for:
- Associates degree required. Bachelor’s or Master’s preferred.
- Three years of work-related experience (i.e., healthcare clinical setting, healthcare education, or Medical Simulation field) required.
- RN, BSN or other advanced degree (PA, DO, MD, etc.) required.
- 5+ years of clinical experience. Critical care experience (e.g. ICU, ER) preferred.
- Medical simulation experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in course development and education methodology preferred.
- Basic to intermediate PC knowledge/skills.

The salary for this position ranges from $60,000 - $65,000, depending on experience.
