This is a part-time (0.3 FTE, average 12 hours per week) academic position focused entirely on the education of medical students. There are no assigned clinical responsibilities with this role. Preference is given to applicants with medical or surgical subspecialty, radiology, or neurology training. The successful candidate will teach both specialty-specific content aligned with their expertise and more general undergraduate medical education topics across the preclinical and clinical curriculum. These duties span multiple aspects of medical student education and are well suited to experienced DO/MD candidates with a strong interest in teaching.

What you’ll do:

  • Teach specialty-specific content aligned with the candidate’s training and expertise within the prescribed preclinical curriculum (College of Osteopathic Medicine and other programs), as well as contribute to broader undergraduate medical education topics across the curriculum. Educational activities may include relevant organ systems, physical diagnosis, standardized patient encounters, ultrasound laboratory sessions, and medical and surgical simulation.
  • Prepare and deliver educational content to students in both formal classroom settings and other instructional formats. Flexibility and willingness to teach general UME topics outside of one’s specialty area are expected.

What we are looking for:

  • D.O. degree from a COCA accredited college of osteopathic medicine or M.D. degree from LCME accredited school of allopathic medicine.
