Des Moines University (DMU) seeks a Physician Assistant (PA) responsible for providing clinical support and student education for the DMU Behavioral Health Clinic. The PA will maintain a clinical practice in collaboration with supervising physicians and provide care for a full range of Behavioral Health patients, including appropriate diagnostic evaluation and directing therapeutic interventions. The incumbent will also provide clinical education for students rotating in Behavioral Health and serve as a preceptor for students participating in health education shadowing programs. This position does not require on-call time.
- At least three years of clinical experience as a PA and at least one year in behavioral health required.
- Current certification/licensure as a physician assistant within the State of Iowa required.
- Current DEA and CSA certification or ability to attain.
- Current BLS certification and Mandatory Reporter certification or ability to attain within one month of hire.
- Psychiatry CAQ preferred.
